On the 17th February 2010 the ARMENIA UP CLOSE Festival was opened in Ljubljana, Slovenia

The official opening ceremony of the ARMENIA UP CLOSE Festival took place on the 17th February 2010 at the Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana. The Festival was opened by the "Armenian Tradition Between the Secular and the Sacred" Exhibition of State History Museum of Armenia. Among the opening ceremony speakers were Mitja Rotovnik, General Director of the Cankarjev dom, Mrs. Nina Pirnat Spahic, curator of the Exhibition, Dr. Zemfira Tarayan, representative of the State History Museum of Armenia. Minister of Culture of Slovenia Ms.Majda Širca made an outstanding speech on Armenian Arts and Culture. At the ceremony were present President of Slovenia Dr. Danilo Türk, Slovenis'First Lady – Mrs Barbara Miklič Türk, diplomats and invited persons.
